Errachidia is a city in Morocco, located in the Errachidia Province, in the region of Dra Tafilalt. The city’s residents speak Berber and Moroccan Arabic. Errachidia, home to 45,000 inhabitants is one of Morocco’s most ancient and famous cities. It is located in the Southeast of Morocco in the Ziz valley of the pre-Saharan region of Tafilalet between the High Atlas Mountains and the sand hills of the desert, in a rock-strewn and stony landscape.

Errachidia is bordered by Algeria to the southeast and by the Moroccan provinces of Figig to the northeast, Midelt to the north, Tinghir to the west, and Zagura to the southwest. It is considered to be one of the most historically important regions of Morocco.
