Asilah, also written Arzeila, is a fortified town on the northwest tip of the Atlantic coast of Morocco, about 31 km south of Tangier. Its ramparts and gateworks remain fully intact.
Asilah is a funky, artsy little beach town on the coast of Morocco. It’s only 45 minutes by car from Tangier. The fortified seaside town has many charms, including safe swimming beaches, quaint streets painted in soft shades of white and blue and excellent restaurants inspired by the town’s Spanish heritage.
